"Stompers are a common sight for travelers on the road, as they are widely used as a beast of burden in Rochendil, since they are able to pull heavy loads without tiring.

They also see use as livestock in the eastern region of the realm. Their meat are edible, their hide can be crafted into clothing, and in some places their milk is processed into cheese.

Stompers are native creatures of Greenharrow Plains, where they can be seen roaming the vast grassland. In the wild they form herds, consisting of a dozen adults lead y a matriarch. Adult males wander alone, returning to the group only during mating season.

As a herbivorous animal, most of their time is spent grazing for food. Their diet includes berries, grass, tubers, and various plants.

Male Stompers are larger and heavier than their female counterpart, with coarse fur running from their head and neck to the underside of their belly. Male horns are more pronounced, as they are used during mating season to attract potential mates.

Stompers use their powerful front claws to dig under the soil in search or nutritious roots and tubers. It also doubles as a mean of self-defense: a single blow can snap a man's spine into two if one is not careful.

Contrary to popular belief, Stompers are unable to stand with their hind legs. They propel themselves upward with their muscular front paws, using momentum to slam into the ground, creating tremors that give them their name.

Stompers were domesticated by the nomadic tribes of the plains, where they are used as a source of food and workforce to cultivate the land. Travelling merchants on the region saw their capability and began replacing horses with Stompers so they can carry extra weight for each trip.

As the merchants travelled around, Stompers gained popularity and finally saw use as we see today.

Tamed Stompers are docile compared to their wild brethren, but females are preferred because of their milder nature. These animals are not picky eaters, and their stomachs are able to digest almost any kind of plants, so they are easy to raise.

Stompers have an average lifespan of 20-35 cycles, a third of it they spend as juveniles before being large enough to be used for labor."
