"Dragons are an ancient race that had existed since the Time of Creation. Some say they are direct offspring of the Gods themselves, acting as caretaker of the Realm.

Their domain reached all corners of Rochendil, from the treacherous Sea of Tides to Frozen Peak's ice caps. Some are capable of flight, some are adept to live in complete darkness, while others are entirely aquatic.

Starting their life at a size no more than a house cat, dragonlings were feral and kept themselves in numbers. Most left the safety of the group as they mature, where their size starts increasing exponentially.

Dragons have an exceptionally long lifespan, and most use this advantage to expand their intellect. Those who did gained great wisdom, capable of speaking in multiple tongues and becoming adept in magick.

True elder dragons can assume humanoid form, enabling them to don the guise as other creatures. Some were merely passive observers, while others were savage rulers, each mark themselves forever in Rochendil's history.

The most renowned Draconic presence is the communion of six elder dragons, known as the 'Dragon Council'. Its members travelled across kingdoms, providing aid with their vast knowledge, power, and wisdom.

Their aid was particularly instrumental during the initial phase of the Great War, as they were able to help Vaethendar minimize damage against the first Corruption attack.

Alas, no dragon exists today. They mysteriously vanished at 647 Aetas Dracenum. Known lairs were left abandoned, and the Dragon Council halls went silent. This includes the entirety of Dragon Knights corps, which abruptly abandoned their station.

The Disappearance event marked the end of the Great War, as shortly thereafter the Corruption horde retreated back to the Crimson Ravine.

Countless studies, and expeditions were launched since then. Each tried to explain what happened, and where exactly the dragons went, but no satisfactory result was ever produced.

Nowadays, what is left from the dragons are some dusty old bones, and scales. Scriers predicted that someday they will return, but until then they are lost in our fairytale, and folklore."
